Papers: Man Utd still planning for future without Rashford

The top stories and transfer rumours from Tuesday's newspapers...

Frank has no issue with Tottenham fans singing about Pochettino

Thomas Frank has no problem with Tottenham fans singing about former boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Spurs go into Tuesdays match at home to Newcastle on a run of two wins in 16 Premier League matches and only six points above the relegation zone.

It has sparked fears for survival among the Tottenham fanbase, who in recent weeks have chanted about ex-boss Pochettino.

Pochettino masterminded tilts at the Premier League and Champions League during a largely successful five-year spell between 2014 and 2019, and referenced his special connection with the club on the High Performance Podcast on Sunday.

Asked if it was unhelpful to have Pochettino talking about his old team, and supporters singing his name, Frank was diplomatic.

I met Mauricio a few times. Great guy, a great coach. I think hes a legend (here), Frank said.

I dont think he won a trophy, but he was part of transforming the club, from where it was at that stage to where it ended being in terms of being close to winning the Premier League title and getting into the Champions League final.

If you are close, then you are very close to winning it. Sometimes its football, its margins.

Pochettino did a top job here and is a true legend, so if the fans sing his name, its well deserved.

Frank was asked nine times about relegation during Mondays press conference, but refused to engage in the subject and repeated his focus was on the next match.

'I will come back better than before' - Grealish confirms foot surgery

Jack Grealish has confirmed he has had surgery on a foot stress fracture, which has ruled him out for the season.

The 30-year-old, who is on a season-long loan at Everton from Manchester City, suffered the injury last month during a 1-0 win over his former club Aston Villa.

He had featured 22 times for Everton this season, with two goals and six assists.

Writing on Instagram, Grealish said: "Didn't want the season to end like this, but that's football, gutted.

"Surgery done and now all focus on getting back fit. I know for sure I will come back fitter, stronger and better than before."

Chelsea's Head of Women's football Green leaves club

Chelsea's Head of Women's Football, Paul Green, has left his role, ending his 13 years at the club.

Green's exit comes with the Blues nine points off top spot in the WSL after winning six consecutive titles.

A club statement read: "Paul has spent 13 years at the club, having joined in 2013 during the formative stages of Chelsea Women.

"During that time, he played a significant role in the development and growth of the womens programme, contributing to the establishment of strong foundations and the evolution of Chelsea Women into one of the leading teams in the domestic and European game.

"His commitment, experience and professionalism have been valued across the club, and his work has helped support a sustained period of success and progress for Chelsea Women during which we won 19 trophies.

"The Club would like to thank Paul for his dedication and service over more than a decade and wishes him well for the future."

Al Nassr expecting Ronaldo to end strike and play on Saturday

Latest from Your Site News' Kaveh Solhekol:

Al Nassr are expecting Cristiano Ronaldo to end his strike and play again for them on Saturday.

The 41-year-old has missed his side's last two Saudi Pro League (SPL) games because he has been unhappy with the way Al Nassr were being run.

After receiving assurances, Ronaldo is expected to return for Saturday's SPL game at Al Fateh.

Before that game, Al Nassr have an Asian Champions League Two game against Arkadag in Turkmenistan on Wednesday.

What Man Utd need for CL qualification - and how much could they earn?!

Watford appoint Will Still's brother Edward as new boss

Watford have appointed Ed Still as their new head coach.

Still, who is fluent in both English and French, is the brother of former Southampton boss Will.

The 35-year-old replaces Javi Gracia at the Championship side following his resignation after only three months in charge.

Still has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Vicarage Road after most recently working as caretaker manager at Belgian side Anderlecht.

Still's first Watford game in charge will be at Preston on Saturday.

Still told watfordfc.com: I'm so thrilled and proud to be here.

This is a club which has a big place in English football and a fantastic history.

All of the focus will be on winning games as quickly as possible and getting the best out of the players.

Fans can expect our team to be aggressive, really compact defensively and attack with pace.

Charlie Daniels, who led the Hornets on an interim basis for the last two games, will take up the role of First Team Coach, while Karim Belhocine will also join the club in the same position.

Kamada set to leave Palace at end of season

Latest from Your Site News' James Savundra:

Daichi Kamada is set to leave Crystal Palace at the end of the season.

The Japan international's contract expires in the summer and there is full expectation he will depart when that happens.

There are currently no active conversations about extending his stay at Selhurst Park.

The midfielder signed as a free agent in 2024. It was a move driven by Palace head coach Oliver Glasner, after the pair won the Europa League together with Eintracht Frankfurt in 2022.

The 29-year-old Kamada is set to join the Austrian boss in seeking a fresh challenge in the summer.

Kamada made a slow start to life at Palace but played a key role in helping the club win the FA Cup last summer.

He made his comeback from a hamstring injury in the club's victory over Brighton on Sunday.

Palace attempted to revamp their midfield in the winter window, with a move for Everton's Dwight McNeil collapsing on Deadline Day.

The club also enquired about Japanese international Kodai Sano at NEC Nijmegen. However, the Dutch club were reluctant to sell the midfielder given their remarkable campaign so far in the Eredivisie this season.
