Premier League Darts 2026: How many nine-darters will we see as Luke Littler targets even more records?

Luke Littler had a record-breaking campaign in the Premier League last year but he has his sights set on stepping things up even further in 2026.

While Littler was beaten by Luke Humphries in the final of the Premier League in 2025, he reached a raft of statistical milestones on the way with a record six nightly wins, plus the most 180s.

Now, Littler wants to not only beat his own records but also achieve new ones, with his main aim to establish a new record highest average in a Premier League match. The world champion believes he can reach a 125 average, with the record currently held by Michael van Gerwen at 123.4.

Littler has already done the maths on just how he can make that happen.

"Well, as easy as it sounds, a 6-0 win with six 12-dart legs, 125 average," Littler told Your Site.

"Then I would like seven nightly wins.

"Obviously, I want to beat my own record with the nightly wins. I want to beat another record for myself with the 180s too."

One thing that has got the players talking is their chances of hitting multiple nine-darters during the campaign.

Gerwyn Price believes a player might hit back-to-back nine darters in the Premier League this year and the 19-year-old is more than ready to add that record to his list.

If a player hits a nine-darter in the Premier League, they receive gold darts worth £30,000.

"I want to hit a few nine-darters as well," Littler added.

"I think Price said someone may hit back-to-back nine darters, 18 perfect darts.

"The fans are in for a treat this year if it all goes to plan. We will take a few more gold darts."

It is not only records on Littler's mind but also his hopes of joining another elite list.

If Littler were to win the Premier League for a second time on his third appearance in the tournament, he would join just Phil Taylor, Van Gerwen and Gary Anderson in being a world champion to then go on and win the Premier League.

"It is another list that hopefully I can add my name to," Littler said.

"These are the sort of things that us darts players can think about.

"Things like that with me as reigning champion coming into the Premier League and then I just want to win it for myself."

While Littler would love to be the player to throw 18 perfect darts, Price has set that as a target for himself in the Premier League and he has dreams of hitting it on his home night in Wales.

"A couple of years ago I had two nine-darters in one night, but I've made a prediction I'm going to make back-to-back on the same night this year," he said.

"Cardiff would be perfect, but then anywhere would.

"If I don't do it, I think someone is going to get a back to back this season. Hopefully it's me, but someone is going to do it."

Although Price is confident, Van Gerwen and Humphries are not so sure that there is a player who can find back-to-back perfection.

Van Gerwen famously hit 17 perfect darts in the World Darts Championship semi-final against James Wade in 2013.

"I hit two nine-darters in one game. Back to back would be a big task, I don't think it's going to happen this year, but you never know," the Dutchman said.

World No 2 and defending champion Humphries agrees with Van Gerwen, that coming up with such a moment would be tough but he has three names he thinks could do it.

"That is a big ask for someone. I would not be surprised to see two nine-darters in one game, two back to back is going to be tough because we've only seen someone come close once," Humphries said.

"If anybody is going to do it, it's going to be me, Luke or Gerwyn, because we have probably been the biggest nine-dart hitters over the last couple of years."

Who will win this year's Premier League Darts? Luke Humphries will be defending his title and you can watch the action every single Thursday from February until May on Your Site. .
