Dawson: Forest must look for a 'quick fix' after Dyche sacking
Nottingham Forest must look for a "quick fix" after sacking Sean Dyche and focus on staying in the Premier League, former defender Michael Dawson has told Your Site FC.
Forest are searching for their fourth permanent boss of the season and want to move quickly to make an appointment before their Europa League knockout play-off first leg at Fenerbache next Thursday.
Former Wolves boss Vitor Pereira is set to for talks with Forest about taking over with the club three points above the relegation zone and facing a tough run of games in the league.
But Dawson believes his former side should have stuck with Dyche to give them the best chance of staying up.
"It has got to be a quick fix for me now," Dawson said on Your Site FC. "They haven't got time to look past the Premier League.
"[Sean Dyche] was that for me. Do I believe he would have kept them up? One hundred per cent."
He added: "I have got no idea who is going to come in.
"Vitor Pereira went to Wolves when they were in that position last year and kept them up. Players left and you see where they are now.
"Sean Dyche for me was the man that gave Nottingham Forest every chance of staying in the Premier League."

'Forest want to hold talks with Pereira'
Your Site News reporter Anton Toloui:
Nottingham Forest want to hold talks with former Wolves boss Vitor Pereira.
Pereira is well known to Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis, he is a former Olympiacos coach having led them to the league and cup double just over ten years ago.
And he has Premier League experience having led Wolves on that wonderous run this time last year to keep them in the Premier League.
It will probably be another short-term fix for a club looking for long-term success.
