DP World Tour: Patrick Reed two shots clear at Qatar Masters ahead of final round, targeting second title of season

Patrick Reed will take a two-shot lead into the final round of the Qatar Masters as he targets a second DP World Tour title in three weeks.

The American - now playing regularly on the European-based circuit after leaving LIV Golf with a return to the PGA Tour not possible until August - is at 14 under having carded a two-under, bogey-free 70 on Saturday.

He registered a birdie apiece on his front and back nines.

Reed won the Dubai Desert Classic last month before losing in a play-off at the Bahrain Championship a week later as Germany's Freddy Schott claimed a maiden victory.

He said: "The golf game feels good - it feels solid, it feels steady. I want to keep the foot on the gas and see where it goes.

"A three-putt on the last obviously stings but to go round this place bogey-free, especially with how the wind was, it's obviously successful."

Reed, the 2018 Masters champion, has Jacob Skov Olesen as his nearest challenger in Doha, with the Dane shooting a four-under 68 to reach 12 under.

Each of Olesen's five birdies were picked up coming home, including three across his final four holes, after a front nine featuring eight pars and a bogey at five.

Spain's Angel Ayora and Australia's Daniel Hillier share third on 11 under, while Scotland's Calum Hill - the third member of last week's play-off in Bahrain with Reed and Schott - and England's Daniel Bradbury are in a six-way tie for ninth on nine under.

Sweden's Sebastian Soderberg is one of the players alongside Hill and Bradbury after posting the round of the day - a seven-under 65 that included an eagle two at the 10th.
